Vinyl fencing

Vinyl fencing has experienced a significant surge in popularity over the past two decades. Originally used for agricultural purposes in the late 20th century, PVC fencing quickly gained traction due to its remarkable versatility and durability, prompting widespread adoption in both residential and commercial settings.

Vinyl fencing is a very low-maintenance option. It won’t require yearly staining or painting, it won’t yellow, rust, rot or decay and it offers strength and durability under all weather conditions. Vinyl fencing is going to look the same on the day it’s installed as it will in 20 years. If you value longevity, it is the product for you.

Privacy and Protection

Vinyl fencing is the perfect option for privacy. The pickets interlock together leaving no gaps. Our vinyl fencing also uses a 2-rail design that makes it much harder to climb.

Durable

Vinyl fencing is rated to resist winds upwards of 100km/h. It will stand up to anything Saskatchewan can throw at it.

Affordable

Vinyl fencing is surprisingly affordable. Many customers are surprised to find out it is often the same price as pressure-treated fencing.

What is Vinyl Fencing?

If you are looking to build a new fence, you’ve probably heard of vinyl. Vinyl has started popping up everywhere. But, what actually is this stuff? Here are some answers to our most common questions:

How are vinyl fences manufactured?

Vinyl fencing is manufactured using an extrusion process. PVC resin is mixed with UV inhibitors; it is then melted and shaped into pickets and rails.  After cooling and sizing, the components are assembled, undergo quality control checks, and may receive finishing touches before packaging.

Is all vinyl fencing created equal?

No, there are many differences between vinyl fencing brands. Firstly, the chemical composition can vary greatly. Vinyl fencing with a poor chemical makeup can chalk and deteriorate when exposed to UV. The components can also begin to yellow over time. The wall thickness is also equally as important. To save cost, some manufacturers reduce the amount of vinyl used by making each piece thinner. This can lead to cracking and material failures. Vinyl fencing must also have aluminum reinforcement in the bottom rail otherwise the panels will begin to sag over time.

How long does vinyl fencing last?

Vinyl fencing usually lasts between 25-30 years. Many people will never have to replace their vinyl fence.

Is vinyl fencing recyclable at the end of its useful life.

Yes, vinyl fencing is generally recyclable at the end of its useful life. However, the ease of recycling and the availability of recycling facilities may vary depending on the recycling facilities available.
