Pergolas range in cost depending on materials used, size and the design chosen. As a rough ballpark, a simple 12×12′ PT pergola starts at $2-3k whereas a cedar pergola or more intricate design can be 5k+.

How much does a wood patio cover cost?

A wood patio cover ranges in cost depending on size, type of roof, materials selected and type of roofing. Wood patio covers also have more opportunity to add additional elements such as lighting, speakers, or heat lamps which can increase costs. Roughly, a 12×12′ patio cover starts at $5k.

What materials are best for a pergola?

Generally for a wood pergola, the two most common options are PT and cedar. PT offers a great aesthetic at a more accessible price point where as cedar has a beautiful look that makes it very popular. Our wood pergolas are pre-stained with Cutek Extreme before installation which provides protection from UV and the elements.

Another option is to use steel or vinyl for pergolas which have lower maintenance over time but a higher initial cost.

What is the difference between a gabled patio cover and a shed style patio cover?

A gabled patio cover has a more complex roof structure. This may better complement your home’s architecture. Gabled patio covers also offer more opportunities for unique and custom designs and can be made larger without compromising headroom.

Shed style patio covers have a single slope and are usually simpler and more cost effective.
